• Work occasional Fridays (4.30pm-6.30pm) and adhoc weekend work (2-4pm)
• Gigs mainly in the Northern Beaches and North Shore areas

• No responsibility in using or transporting equipment

• Specialising in epic birthday parties, school discos, and public performances for family audiences
• Get ready to groove with kids & tweens! (primary school age: 5-12 year olds)

The Role:

• Part-time, flexible hours (occasional Friday afternoons & weekends)
• Get yourself to various party locations (homes, halls, schools, events)
• Work with a team – you’re a rockstar either way!
• Gigs typically last 2-3 hours – high energy, high fun!
• Choose your own adventures / gigs – either Saturdays or Sundays, or both!
• Minimum commitment: only 2 gigs a month or as agreed

Your Responsibilities:

• Assist the Lead DJ to perform kids’ discos using music, fun games, and simple dance moves
• Assist with crowd control
• Assist with set-up or pack down of equipment

What It Looks Like:

• Dance happily & energetically alongside the Lead DJ
• Inspire / encourage / empower kids to dance
• Connect with your audience
• Look for proactive ways to support your Lead DJ

Essential Criteria:

1. Must be 16yrs or older
2. If over 18 years of age, must have a valid ‘Working with Children’s Check’ (WWCC) – or the willingness to apply for one
3. Availability to work weekends including occasional Friday afternoons, Saturdays or Sundays for 2-3 hour blocks of time
4. Reliable transport or willingness to get to gigs on your own (eg. public transport / lifts etc.) – predominantly north side with occasional Sydney metro work
5. Have excellent time management skills
6. Dance background to guide kids’ simple dance moves
7. Have performance showmanship with LOTS of energy, endurance & enthusiasm
8. Must LOVE interacting with kids

Preferred (but not essential):

Ideally be based within 30 mins drive from the North Shore or the Northern Beaches.
